In this slide show we will look at the six vital questions to consider when looking for a new phone system. Facing the difficult task of finding a new telephone system? Question 1 : Question 1 Who are you dealing with? Slide 4: The telecoms industry includes many organisations that re-sell products and services from unknown providers. This is called white labelling. One problem with white labelling is that if you have difficulties with your business phone system you don’t know who is responsible. Slide 5: Cloud Net advises you to check: who runs the network? If there is a money back guarantee? who provides support? Who implements fixes? Question 2 : Question 2 What will happen if your needs change? Slide 7: Your business could grow and expansion maybe needed. You might need to add additional phones to your current business phone system or move to a bigger premises. You need to find out if it is easy to add handsets to the system and if you need to move how easy it is to move to a different premises. Slide 8: Another point to think about is the feature set’s. Some telecom companies provide only certain features for free. If you want your company to look more professional and add additional features, then it could cost you a lot extra for the hardware and the monthly fee. Question 3 : Question 3 Is the system an open one? Slide 10: A truly open business phone system is one that will work with the equipment you already own or plan to purchase later on including phone headsets, or tabletop conferencing equipment. Slide 11: Make sure it: Will work with any other phone equipment you purchase. Can easily be maintained in house (change extensions, add or delete users, change features) by end users. Runs on an industry standard operating system such as SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) Works with standard IP telephone handsets. Question 4 : Question 4 How much will the system cost? Slide 13: Purchasing a business phone system is not as easy as it seems. There are a lot different costs associated with a telephone contract. Capital Costs – The amount it costs to purchase the equipment. Set Up Costs – Installation, configuration and delivery costs. Slide 14: Monthly Costs – Line rental. Maintenance Costs – Costs to upgrade/maintain the system. Call Costs – call set up, call length and rounding up costs. Question 5 : Question 5 Can the system be maintained?
