It may also contain background information about the organization or team attempting to reach those goals.Components of Business Plan: Components of Business P lan A business plan have five fundamental components : The executive summary Company Analysis Industry Analysis Analysis of customers Analysis of competitionExecutive summary: Executive summary I t is the first section in all business plans. This should be a short, self-explanatory piece which covers the key points you have made in your plan. Includes condensed version of the timetable and finances.COMPANY ANALYSIS: COMPANY ANALYSIS This section provides a strategic overview of the company and describes how the company is organized. It also includes what products and services it offers/will offer, and goes into further detail on the company’s unique qualifications in serving its target markets.INDUSTRY ANALYSIS: INDUSTRY ANALYSIS This section evaluates the playing field in which the company will be competing. It also includes well-structured answers to key market research questions. The examples are What are the sizes of the target market segments ? What are the trends for the industry as a whole? With what other industries do your services compete?ANALYSIS OF CUSTOMERS: ANALYSIS OF CUSTOMERS The Customer Analysis section assesses the customer segment that the company serves. Here, the company must convey the needs of its target customers . Finally it must show how its products and services satisfy these needs to an extent that the customer will pay for them.ANALYSIS OF COMPETITION : ANALYSIS OF COMPETITION The first key point to make regarding competition is that as you think through and develop this section, remember that there is always competition.
