why is water important?!?! : 

why is water important?!?! 75% OF YOUR body is made of WATER. 1 in 6 people in the world do not have access to clean water. More than 1/3 of species at risk in Canada are aquatic. 3% of the earth’s water is fresh water and only 0.3% of this is useable. You are drinking the same water dinosaurs drank over 65 million years ago! WE NEED WATER

Save Our WaterShed: 

S ave Our WaterShed A watershed is an area where water drains downhill. But our water shed is getting polluted. Please don’t pollute our water shed.

Wetlands ` Wetlands are Disappearing! Canada has 1/3 of the world’s wetlands How can we save wetlands? 1. W e can not use a lot of farming land. 2. W e can write the government a letter.

How can we save water?: 

How can we save water? Water Flow solutions: Ski on natural snow, so that we don’t waste water making artificial snow! Drip irrigation ! Save the rain water to water our plants!

Heating: use a programmable thermostat

Some people waste a lot of water in a day by running water. Please help us conserve. We need it to drink. People are using more than necessary . What wastes water?

Save our water - the fish need water to live! Please! Reduce Water Waste! HOW TO REDUCE WATER USE: When you are brushing your teeth, turn off the water! Take a shorter shower to save water! Keep a water jug in the fridge so you don’t waste the water waiting for it to get cold!

If it has color it is leaking. Fix leaky toilets and drippy taps. Make sure your dishwashers and washing machines are full before using them. Support grey water and water recycle projects in your community

Toilet Tactic: Fill a 2 litre pop bottle with water and pebbles, and put this in the back of your toilet to displace water. This saves up 2 litres of water per flush. Toilet Tactic: if it’s yellow let it mellow-try to save water
