Step 2 : Step 2 Next I scanned the photo, cropped only around the window and printed that part on vellum paper. Step 3 : Step 3 Then I cut out the panes of the window carefully using my x-acto knife. Step 4 : Step 4 I then placed the vellum paper behind the original cut out photo so the window seemed to actually be transparent. Step 5 : Step 5 Time to get dirty… I used some of my heavy gloss gel to paint onto the shutter. This will give it a 3-d texture when the gloss dries. Step 6 : Step 6 I then ventured into the kitchen sprinkling salt, pepper and cinnamon onto the wet gel to give the appearance of dirt and being old. Step 7 : Step 7 In my scrapbook box I found some paper that was perfect for cutting out leaves, I then glued these leaves onto my photo. Step 8 : Step 8 I then added some fake moss, for a more realistic outdoor feel. Step 9 : Step 9 Last but not least I decided that my piece of art needed a frame, so I cut one out of cardboard. The Finished Product : The Finished Product Ta Dah! I placed my beautiful piece of art into the frame and my work is complete… Before and After : Before and After You do not have the permission to view this presentation.
