Students from SintermeertenCollege (Heerlen), Liceo Augusto (Rome) and Carl-Zeiss-Schule (Berlin) have made a questionaire. The results of the survey are not representative because every school has devided the population between 14 and 18 years in different groups. Also the number of questionairs is very small and the translation into the native language has been difficult. But the sense of the questions is the same. This is now a comparison of the results for the population about 16 till 18 years. The data are in per cent.The Questions: The Questions 1) How much money are you given a month? 2) Where do you get the money from? 3) How many times a month do you go shopping? 4) What do you mainly spend your money on? 5) Which of the following words fit best to your purchase pattern? 6) Are you interested in the countries producing the articles you buy? 7) Do you usually read the label carefully when you buy your clothes? 8) When you meet someone, do you take notice what they are wearing? 9) Do you prefer branded clothes or just no-name clothes? 10) When you buy groceries are you influenced especially by: 11) Do you think media (e.g. advertising) has an influence on your purchase pattern? 12) How many times a month do you eat/stay a fast food restaurant? 13) When you go to supermarket, do you buy popular brands or ecological products? 14) Do you believe in “fair trade”? 15) I`d buy more ecologically if … 16) When you go from one room to another one, do you remember to switch off the light? 17) Do you use plastic bags more than once / one time? 18) At home do you use energy saving bulbs? 19) Do you collect your rubbish separately for recycling? 21) Do you know what causes the ozone hole? 20) Do you think your individual effort in ecological matters can really improve the situation?
