ARMED FORCES MEDICAL COLLEGE (AFMC ENTRANCE):

ARMED FORCES MEDICAL COLLEGE (AFMC ENTRANCE) All the 130 candidates admitted to AFMC 2011, Pune have compulsory liability to serve as commissioned officers in the Armed Forces Medical Services for seven years on graduation. The cost of the form for AFMC is Rs . 250 . Eligibility : Applicants must have passed 12th standard or equivalent examination of statutory Indian University/ Board, securing not less than 60% aggregate marks in the 3 science subjects taken together, not less than 50% marks in each of the science subjects and not less than 50% marks in English . Test pattern and selection : The entrance exam is a paper-based test on Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Intelligence, Logic, Reasoning and English Language and Comprehension. ALL INDIA INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES (AIIMs):

ALL INDIA INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES ( AIIMs) Every year more than 80,000 candidates apply for MBBS course in AIIMS for only 70 vacancies, which makes it one of the toughest of entrance examinations. The cost of the application form for AIIMS is Rs . 1,000 and it can be filled online or offline. Eligibility: Applicants must have passed 12th standard or equivalent examination with at least 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. Test pattern and selection: AIIMS Entrance for MBBS is a paper-based test of 3 ½ hours duration. It has 200 multiple-choice and reason-assertion type questions. There are 60 questions each from Physics, Chemistry and Biology and 20 questions from General Knowledge. There is negative marking for incorrect answers. ALL INDIA PRE-MEDICAL TEST (AIPMT):

ALL INDIA PRE-MEDICAL TEST (AIPMT) The form is available offline for Rs . 800. It can be also be filled online for Rs . 700. Eligibility: A candidate should be aged between 17-25 years and passed 12th with at least 50% marks with PCB Test pattern and selection: The Preliminary Examination is of 3 hours duration and consists of one paper containing 200 objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology). The Final Examination is also of 3 hours and consists of one paper containing 120 objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology). After the preliminary examination successful candidates will qualify for the final examination and a final merit list for counselling will be prepared. Wesite : www.aipmt.nic.in

BHU ALL INDIA PMT:

BHU ALL INDIA PMT BHU-PMT (Pre Medical Test) is held annually, by Banaras Hindu University . The seat distribution is as follows: MBBS (84 seats); BDS (38); BAMS (78); BPharm (33). The cost of the application form is Rs . 1,200 Eligibility : The candidates must have passed 12th class examination or equivalent examination with minimum 50% in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology + Botany) taken together. Candidates appearing in qualifying examination may also apply . Test pattern and selection: Admission to MBBS course is done through an entrance test which has two stages, PMT Screening and PMT Mains. Only those who qualify in PMT Screening can appear for PMT Mains for MBBS course. Admission to other courses like BDS, BPharm and BAMS is through only PMT Screening. The screening exam is of objective type and consists of 200 questions from Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology whereas the mains exam is of subjective type. Website : www.imsbhu.nic.in

CMC-VELLORE Christian Medical College Vellore, which is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai , holds an all-India entrance test (CMC Vellore Common Entrance Test) The intake for MBBS is 60 seats. The cost of the application form is Rs . 750. Eligibility : Minimum 60% marks at 10+2 level each in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Test pattern and selection: The entrance exam questions are from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Ability and a few questions of current topical interest. DELHI UNIVERSITY (DUMET) :

DELHI UNIVERSITY (DUMET) DUMET is held annually for admission to bachelor’s in University of Delhi. The distribution of 373 seats is as follows: MBBS (LHMC-98 seats, MAMC-147 seats, UCMS -128 seats), BDS (MAIDS-34 seats ). DUMET Application form is available for Rs . 750 and it can also be downloaded from the website. Eligibility : The candidates must have passed 12th class examination under 10+2 system with an aggregate of at least 50%. The school must be situated within the National Capital Territory of Delhi. Test pattern and selection: The test paper is of 3 hours duration. The paper is of objective type and consists of 200 questions (50 each in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology). Each question carries 4 marks and there is negative marking. Successful candidates will be allotted seats according to their rank and number of seats available Website : www.fmsc.ac.in

JAWAHARLAL INSTITUTE (JIPMER):

JAWAHARLAL INSTITUTE ( JIPMER) JIPMER conducts a separate entrance test for admission to its MBBS course. It has 100 seats in MBBS and out of this admission to 82 seats is through JIPMER entrance. The cost of the application form is Rs . 750. Eligibility : A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 50% aggregate marks in PCB. Test pattern and selection: The entrance test consists of 200 Multiple-choice Questions equally from English, Physics, Chemistry Zoology and Botany. There are four options for each question and there is be no negative marking. VITEEE (VIT ENGINEERING ENTRANCE EXAM) :

VITEEE (VIT ENGINEERING ENTRANCE EXAM) VITEEE form is available for Rs . 750 and is held for admission to Bachelor’s courses in Engineering in Vellore Institute of Technology. There are over2100 seats. Eligibility : A candidate should have passed class 12th examination with a minimum aggregate of 60% in PCM . Test Pattern & Selection: VITEEE is of 2   ½ hours duration and has 150 objective type questions from class 12th syllabus of Physics, Chemistry and Maths and or Biology. One can either appear for Biology or Mathematics or for both. There is no negative marking in the examination. Successful candidates are called for counselling in batches and allotment of branches is on the basis of the rank in VITEEE. Website : www.vit.ac.in

AIEEE (ALL INDIA ENGINEERING ENTRANCE EXAM):

AIEEE (ALL INDIA ENGINEERING ENTRANCE EXAM) AIEEE conducted by (CBSE) have around 27,000 seats. The cost of the form is Rs . 500. Colleges which accept AIEEE scores include Delhi Technological University (DTU), PEC University, BIT Mesra , School of Planning & Architecture, SASTRA and many other deemed universities. Eligibility : Candidate must have passed in final examination of 10+2 (Class 12) or its equivalent with 50% marks. Test Pattern & Selection: AIEEE is of 3 hours having objective questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with equal weightage given to each subject. BITSAT (BIRLA INSTITUTE TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCE):

BITSAT (BIRLA INSTITUTE TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCE) BITSAT is conducted for admission to Birla Institute of Technology and Science for Bachelor’s in Engineering program. It opens access to more than 2500 seats in the various BITS campuses. The application form of Rs . 1500/- ( Rs . 1000/- for female candidates) has to be sent to BITS , Eligibility Candidates need to pass 12th with at least 80% marks in aggregate in PCM with a minimum of 60% marks in each (PCM ). Test Pattern & Selection BITSAT is a  3-hour online test and has 150 objective questions with each having four options. For a correct answer a candidate gets 3 marks and for an incorrect answer 1 mark is deducted. Admissions will be made purely on merit. Website : www.bitsadmission.com

IIT-JEE (INDIAN INSTIUTE OF TECHNOLOGY):

IIT-JEE (INDIAN INSTIUTE OF TECHNOLOGY) The Indian Institutes of Technology (popularly known as IITs ) There are 9,000 seats including. The cost of the entrance test is Rs . 900 for online application and Rs . 1,000 for offline application. Eligibility : Candidates must secure at least 60% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination. Test Pattern & Selection ::The JEE has two question papers,(3 hours). Both the question papers would consist of three separate sections on Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics and there will be negative marking. Based on the Minimum Qualifying Marks for Ranking (MQMR) in the individual subjects as well as the aggregate marks in the examination, a Common Merit List (CML) will be prepared without any relaxed criteria.
