DEFINATION OF O.B :: 

DEFINATION OF O.B : Actions and attitudes of individuals and groups toward one another and toward the organization as a whole, and its effect on the organization's functioning and performance.

INTODUCTION OF O.B :: 

INTODUCTION OF O.B : Organizational Behavior (OB) is the study andapplication of knowledge about how people,individuals, and groups act in organizations. Its purpose is to build better relationships by achieving human objectives, organizational objectives, and social objectives.

ELEMENTS OF O.B :: 

ELEMENTS OF O.B : The organization's base rests on management's philosophy, values, vision and goals. This in turn drives the organizational culture which is composed of the formal organization, informal organization, and the social environment. The culture determines the type of leadership, communication, and group dynamics within the organization.

Models of Organizational Behavior: : 

Models of Organizational Behavior: There are four major models or frameworks that organizations are uses. MODELS OF O.B AUTOCRATIC CUSTODIAL SUPPORTIVE COOLEGIAL

CONTI………. 1. Autocratic — the basis of this model is power with a managerial orientation of authority. The employees in turn are oriented towards obedience and dependence on the boss.

CONTI………. 2. Custodial — the basis of this model is economic resources with a managerial orientation of money. The employees in turn are oriented towards security and benefits and dependence on the organization. The employee need that is met is security.

CONTI………. 3. Supportive — The basis of this model is leadership with a managerial orientation of support. The employees in turn are oriented towards job performance and participation. The employee need that is met is status and recognition.

CONTI………. 4. Collegial — the basis of this model is partnership with a managerial orientation of teamwork. The employees in turn are oriented towards responsible behavior and self-discipline. The employee need that is met is self-actualization.

Contributing disciplines to the OB field : : 

Contributing disciplines to the OB field : 1. PSYCHOLOGY : Psychology is the science that seeks to measure, explain, and sometimes change the behavior of humans and other animals; RELATONSHIP WITH OB If one want to improve the behavior of an individual on group we have to look into the psychological needs of an individual and group. So the knowledge of psychology can really help in improving and modifying the behaviour of individual and group.

CONTI……….. 2. SOCIOLOGY : Sociologists study the social system in which individuals fill their roles; that is, sociology studies people in relation to their fellow human beings . This study really provides helping hand in the improvement and modification of OB.

SOCIAL PSTCHOLOGY : An area within psychology that blends concepts from psychology and sociology and that focuses on the influence of people on one another. it deal with the fulfillment of social needs in a physiological sense of interpretations. It cause different socio psycho conditions and affair for the modification of OB.

CONTI……….. 4. ANTHRAPOLOGY : The study of societies to learn about human beings and their activities. OB modification and improvment, one must have the very treat and attitude of anthrapology

CONTI……….. 5. POLITICAL SCIENCE : The study of the behavior of individuals and groups within a political environment. It also mean "the act or science of guiding or influencing governmental policy" the study of politics is helpful in the nourishment and development of the OB.
