I volunteered for the US Marine Corps at the age of 21 and left Guam on July 22, 1966.

I received my basic training at MCRD in San Diego, CA.

I went through 5 months of intensive training for the infantry before I went to Vietnam in December, 1966.

After I served my time in the Marine Corps, I entered the Long Beach Naval Shipyard’s apprenticeship program.I became a journeyman machinist and later I was promoted to a shop planner.I am fortunate!I raised a family,reunited with some of my brothers from Nam,and met some good people along the way…… :
