What are vertebrates?:

What are vertebrates? Vertebrates are animals without backbone.

Five classes of vertebrates:

Five classes of vertebrates Mammals, Birds, Reptiles, Fish, and Amphibians.

Mammals:

Mammals Give birth to live young, have hair or fur, have mammary glands, are warm-blooded.

Birds:

Birds Like mammals, birds are warm-blooded. birds are capable of flight, although a few, such as the ostrich and penguin, do not, Birds are oviparous and lay eggs.

Reptiles:

Reptiles have scales, dry skin, usually lay eggs, are cold-blooded.

Fish:

Fish lay eggs, have scales and fins, are cold-blooded, use gills to breath under water.

Amphibians:

Amphibians Amphibians body temperature changes with its environment. In cold climates, amphibians hibernate during the winter. Amphibians lay their eggs in water, and young amphibians tend to resemble small fish.
