Key Features of Webquest : Internet based activity that is centered around a doable and engaging task Challenge students to solve a problem Answers are not predefined, must be discovered or created. Teacher acts as a facilitator learning and utilize scaffolding to help all learners Key Features of Webquest Webquest Are Not : An internet scavenger hunt Simply answering questions right off the screen Only one answer to solve the problem Only for gifted students Webquest Are Not Starting Point : Starting Point Webquest Design : Includes six components Introduction Task Process Evaluation Conclusion Teacher Page (Optional) Webquest Design Introduction : Orients students and captures their interest Introduction Task : Describes the end product of the activity Task Process : Explains strategies students will use to complete the task Includes resources Think about your learners Think about your topic Decide on roles and responsibilities to give to learners The PROCESS section is where most of the external web sites will be linked.
