What to do in de-motivated time. MOTIVATION : MOTIVATION motivation refers to the initiation, direction, intensity and persistence of behavior. Motivation is having the desire and willingness to do something. Types of Motivation : Types of Motivation Intrinsic Extrensic TYPES OF MOTIVATION : TYPES OF MOTIVATION Intrinsic motivation is evident when people engage in an activity for its own sake, without some obvious external incentive present. A hobby is a typical example. extrinsic motivation Tangible rewards such as payments, promotion(rank). Intangible rewards such as praise or public commendation. Slide 5: Intrinsic motivation is no panacea for employee motivation For many commercially viable activities it may not be possible to find any or enough intrinsically motivated people. Intrinsically motivated employees need to eat, too. Other forms of compensation remain necessary. Slide 6: Punishment, when referred in general, is an unfavorable condition introduced into the environment to eliminate undesirable behavior. This is used as one of the measures of Behavior Modification. Stress works in a strange way to motivate, like reverse psychology. When under stress and difficult situations, a person feels pressured. This may trigger feelings of under-achieving, which results in a reverse mindset, to strive to achieve Slide 7: Secondary goals:In work environments, money is typically viewed as a powerful indirect motivation, whereas job satisfaction and a pleasant social environment are more direct motivations. Re-evaluate goals Identify your ability. Over-involved, reduce the commitments that are excessive If people demand too much emotional energy, become more unapproachable and less sympathetic. Involve other people in a supportive role. Learn stress management skills Examine other areas in your life that are generating stress, such as work or family, and try to solve problems What you will do? : What you will do? When u get a strong sms from your boss? When you faced a difficult situation with a doctor? When a chemist scolds you that your company is not giving any offers? You started with a lot of energy in the morning for field work, suddenly ……… What you will do? : What you will do? You have planned to take leave and want to enjoy with family, on that day you have cycle meeting? You want to convert a doctor, Doctor takes you to another direction. And any other u want to discuss? Tips in field : Tips in field Wash your face with cool water and take few deep breaths. Have a tea or cigar Chat with your closest friend for few minutes Read jokes or sms from your friends, not………. Try to analyse the situation Tips at home : Tips at home Watch your favourite movie cd Watch comedy bits, songs. Play with your kids or pets Yoga See your marriege Album.(if you feel that it is a good idea) And many more…………. Positive Environment : Positive Environment Get the support of your friends and family Healthy lifestyle: Adequate sleep Healthy, balanced diet - bad diet Aerobic exercise Limit caffeine and alcohol relaxing hobby Acknowledge your own humanity: remember that you have a right to pleasure and a right to relaxation Slide 17: Self motivation : Self motivation Self motivation is the ability to satisfy a desire, expectation, or goal without being influenced to do so by another person. Many motivation courses or peak performance training mainly address this aspect but the cumulative effect is temporary and the key factor always is the presence of a constant reminder. Slide 19: self motivation is finding a way of transforming the energy within into energy without, allowing for one to accomplish difficult tasks, or express ideas more thoroughly How? : How? Reading books Write all your achievements on a paper and place it in your room. When ever faced any problem, think how u solved same type of problem in the past. Share your success with others.
