Accreditation is a process of verification of systems, processes including competence of faculty members, supervisory staff, administrative and supporting staff involved and infrastructure available in carrying out the activity. It involves periodic assessment of the capacity Institute in carrying out the designated activity by way of surveillance assessment conducted by QCI (NABET). Affiliation on the other hand is a process of verification of compliance to statutory and regulatory requirements of the Institute. After recommendation for accreditation of ITI by QCI (NABET), the affiliation will be considered for granting by NCVT through DGE&T, Ministry of Labour & Employment, New Delhi. Accreditation

Annexure-G3 Power Supply /Connection Norms In respect of Power consumption following documents issued on Stationary paper of Electricity Department shall be verified. 1.For existing institutes Latest Electricity bill indicating connected load. 2.For new institutes Meter sealing report indicating sanctioned load. Copy of the load sanction order. Proof of the payment of dues along with meter sealing report.

3.Lease /Rented Building Annexure-G3 For existing institutes : Electricity bill indicating connected load is required to be produce(details of existing trades, units should also form part of the inspection report to assess the required electrical load) For new institutes : Meter sealing report indicating sanctioned load OR if meter sealing report does not have sanctioned load, copy of the sanctioned load, proof of payment of dues for the same along with meter sealing report should be produced/submitted. In case of institute the rented/leased building, the electric connection should be in the name of the owner of the institute/management & the mutual agreement between landlord and the institute/management/society as may be, should be produced along with the bill.

Verification of the list of tools and equipments which are available on the website of DGE&T and these are based on the latest syllabus. The accreditation process involves following Steps Desktop Review Physical verification covering(indicative) i ) Infrastructure – Land & Building. ii) Staff Details iii) Power supply iv) Machines, Tools & Equipments v) Training & support process in line with section 1 of this criteria vi) Performance, measurement & improvement in line with section 2 of v) this criteria. this is applicable for existing NCVT affiliated I T Is. vii) Governance of the institution in line with section 3 of this criteria.

Three major steps involved in the process of accreditation are as follows – Desktop Assessment : Verification of documents submitted by the Institute to QCI ( NABET) Secretariat Document Assessment: Document submitted by the Institute are scrutinized in QCI (NABET). Onsite Assessment : Physical verification of all the information submitted by the Institute to QCI (NABET) is conducted. The Assessing Team will verify to compliance to statutory and regulatory requirements as well as system and processes of the Institute

For seeking accreditation The applicant should be refer to the DGE&T website prior to submitting its application. All trades sector & unit which Affiliation is sought by ITI should be at the one location The proposal for three units of any trade in three shift can be Submitted simultaneously.

1.3.2 Physical Site Verification This can be either through a planned visit with advance intimation to the institute or through a surprise visit to the institute without any prior intimation. a) NABET Assessor on need basis shall take the photograph or click video of the Institute. i ) A Certificate of Accreditation will be issued by NABET, QCI on receipt of fees given in Annexure -1.

1.6 RENEWAL OF ACCREDITATION 1.6.1 Any Accreditation granted automatically expires at the end of the period of its validity. A renewal notice will be issued for the recognized course /trade to ITI by NABET before expiry of validity. However the responsibility for applying for renewal in time shall be that of the ITI concerned. Accreditation of an ITI is valid for four years only.
