In The Beginning : 

In The Beginning Once upon a time, a man entered my life with his smooth brown skin, awesome curly hair, and amazing voice. He was breath taken and brought tears to my eyes every time I saw him perform on TV.

He stole the hearts of many young girls and was featured as several magazine top articles. Every girl wanted to date him, and many considered him their dream boyfriend.

Slide 4: 

As the years went on, he continued to melt the hearts of the ladies, as well as mine.. There wasn’t a female on earth that could resist his charm and his voice.

The Quiet Times : 

The Quiet Times After several years, the handsome man of my dreams, went silent. I didn’t hear any songs from him. I didn’t read any more articles about him. I didn’t hear anything about him. But even though he was not on every channel all the time, he was still in my heart and on my mind. I continued having thoughts about him. I still dreamed of the day I would finally meet him. And he remained one of the main characters in every story I wrote. They say absence makes the heart grow fonder, and in those absent times, my little girl crush began to grow.

The Fire Is Not Out Yet : 

The Fire Is Not Out Yet Years later of not hearing from this amazing man, I received the biggest surprise of my life. While watching the show UnSung featuring DeBarge, I heard a voice I had not heard in years. At first, I tried to ignore it thinking there was no way that could be that same teen heartthrob from all those years ago. When the show ended and the credits began to run, a feeling of excitement just overwhelmed me when I realized I was correct. He was the one narrating the show. It was him. He was back and sounding just as sexy as ever. Even though, I never forgot about him all those years, I found myself feeling the same way I did all those years ago when I used to watch him on TV. The years may have passed by since then but the fire I felt for him had not gone out.

As I did my research after finding out he was no longer behind the scene but now back in front and making music again, I searched the stores and the internet for his latest CD so that I could get a taste of his new more mature sound.

Slide 8: 

But not only was he doing new music, but to my surprise, he was now doing reality TV too.

I’ve Got To Meet Him : 

I’ve Got To Meet Him I just couldn’t take it any more. I was losing my mind. This man has been a part of my heart since I was 19 years old and was still holding that special place. I just had to meet him, but how? How was I going to meet that man of my dreams that has been on my mind and in my heart for 23 long years. How was I going to be able to just walk up to him after all those years and be able to talk to him without fainting? Or better yet, how was I going to meet him if I never knew he was coming to town until after he was gone. Well, one day on facebook, all of that changed and changed quickly. He was coming to Atlanta and I was going to be there.

That night in Atlanta was a night I will NEVER forget. The man of my dreams…. The man I held close to my heart for all those years…. The man that I admired so much, was in the same building as I was. I felt like I was on top of the world and I owe it all to him.

Slide 11: 

It’s been several months since my life long dream came true and the man of my dreams became my friend of reality. As I sit here creating this special presentation with him in mind, I would like to close this with a special message to him: Thank you, Al for all those beautiful years of sharing your talent with the world. Thank you for being the perfect example to every lady by demonstrating how we should be treated and respected. You are such an amazing man and I truly believe God is very pleased with all that you have done and are about to endure. You have always held a special place in my heart, and in that special place you will forever be. Much love and blessings to you!!!
