These are some that really made me think. www.mademethink.com Comments Posting comment... Slide 2: Today, when a telemarketer called and asked for my father, It made me smile. Because even though I was too young when he passed to remember him, I still miss him and I love being reminded of his existence. Slide 3: Today, I clung to my mother’s hand as her life peacefully faded. And I felt like her passing was akin to the ending of a fine novel a story I will never forget Slide 4: Today, as I sat beside my grandfather while he rested in the hospice bed, he softly grasped my hand and asked, “Why did I take so many days for granted?” Slide 5: Today, as they teased me and laughed hysterically, I just wished they could see the world through my eyes. Slide 6: Today, as I baked my own birthday cake for my 16th birthday, I realized just how much I miss my mom. Slide 7: Today I watched my 3-year-old daughter play with her friends. And I realized the world is still a beautiful place. Slide 8: Today, I went to visit my dad. And as I stood at the foot of his grave, I realized that what I miss the most are the little things he'll never teach me. Slide 9: Today, I could have saved her life when she called to tell me she needed to talk. But I told her I was busy and needed to call her back later. I didn’t realize there wouldn’t be a later. Slide 10: Today, even after all of the abuse, when the phone rang, I still hoped it was him. Slide 11: Today it really sucked that my only true friend out of the 100 people in the room, was the one lying in the casket. Slide 12: Today, I left her a voicemail I know she’ll never receive. But I just had to hear her voice one last time. Slide 13: Today, as I read the email I sent to myself four years ago, I desperately wished I could go back and talk to the boy I used to be. Slide 14: Today, after the diagnosis last week, I found out I don’t have cancer. Slide 15: Today, my water broke at my husband's funeral. Slide 16: Today, I had to go to a funeral for a 26 year old co-worker of mine. He and his widow just got married last year, just bought a house last month, just had a beautiful baby boy last week. And then just like that… he was gone. Slide 17: Today, all of these things… They made me think. Slide 18: Thank You for Watching You do not have the permission to view this presentation.
