Premium member Presentation Transcript New Parent Party : January 21, 2012 New Parent Party 2011 NEWSWORTHY ACCOMPLISHMENTS : 2011 NEWSWORTHY ACCOMPLISHMENTS 22 seniors qualified for the 2011 National Merit Scholarship Program. They are among the top 5% in the nation. 169 Upper School students were named Advanced Placement Scholars by the College Board.PowerPoint Presentation: The Debate team is ranked in the top 100 teams in the nation.PowerPoint Presentation: ASPIRE students received national recognition in science research as Intel Science Talent Search Semifinalists and Finalists, as well as a Regional Finalist in the Siemens Competition in Math, Science, and Technology.Upper School students served as staff at the Orlando Special Olympics event.: Upper School students served as staff at the Orlando Special Olympics event. Upper School students contributed 41,395 hours to community service in 2010-2011. Some interesting facts about the class of 2011:: Some interesting facts about the class of 2011: The Class of 2011 added 195 new alumni to our graduate rolls . They will matriculate at 80 different colleges and universities in 25 states and in Canada. This class boasts 16 National Merit Finalists- more than any school- public or private- in Central Florida. 162 members of the graduating class won Bright Future Scholarships. In all, this class earned nearly $9 million in scholarships 28 graduates (15% of the class) committed to participate in Division I athletic programs. The class contributed more than 15,000 hours of community service in their senior year. Four members of the class made commitments to serve their country in uniform: two are attending the United States Military Academy at West Point, one attends the United States Naval Academy, and one is studying at Johns Hopkins University on an Army ROTC scholarship.Lacrosse State Champs!: Lacrosse State Champs! ● Our athletic program was recognized as a Varsity Cup finalist, the 11 th consecutive year we finished as a top six athletic program in six counties. We finished third overall in Central Florida and first in private schools.PowerPoint Presentation: Our athletic program features 56 teams competing in 20 sports. This past year, our students earned ten district championships and six regional championships. Six teams finished in the top five in the state finals.
