La Possession avec DE : 

La Possession avec DE ‘s does not exist in French! One uses DE, “OF” Example: Valerie’s motorcycle = La moto de Valerie

LE/LA/LES + Noun + DE (d’) + Owner : 

LE/LA/LES + Noun + DE (d’) + Owner Used to express relationship: Monique est la mère de Sophie. Robert est le père de Raoul. Used to express ownership: Le crayon de Stephan. La pizza d’Isabelle.

DE Contractions! : 

DE Contractions! De + le = du Le chat du voisin = The neighbor’s cat De + les = des La chambre des parents = The parents’ room

Singulier! My, Your, His/Her : 

Singulier! My, Your, His/Her

Pluriel! Our, Your, Their : 

Pluriel! Our, Your, Their

Chantez! : 

Chantez!

Exceptions! : 

Exceptions! If the object you are describing is singular and starts with a VOWEL/H, always use the masculine possessive pronoun! Example: Voici mon affiche! Remember: Use the poss. adj. that is the same gender as the object! NOT the gender of the person/people who own it!! Example: C’est sa tante. = She is his aunt.
