Les Noms de Description : Les Noms de Description Un lycéen, une lycéenne = a high school student Un étudiant, une étudiante = a college student Un élève, une élève = a student Un camarade, une camarade = a classmate Un homme = a man une femme = a woman Un professeur, un prof, une prof = a teacher Un voisin, une voisine = a neighbor Slide 4: Les Adjectifs Les Adjectifs : Les Adjectifs Les Adjectifs: Masculins et Féminins : Les Adjectifs: Masculins et Féminins Adjectives are modified according to the gender of the person/thing they are describing! To make an adjective feminine ADD an -e to the end of the masculine form, unless it already ends in an -e. Some adjectives have irregular feminine forms: Examples: blanc, blanche vieux, vieille Les Adjectifs: Le Pluriel : Les Adjectifs: Le Pluriel If you are describing more than one person/thing, you must make your adjective plural. Don’t forget to also make changes for gender first! Add an -s to make the adjective plural. There are, however, some exceptions! Examples: Grand – Grands Petite- Petites La Place des Adjectifs : La Place des Adjectifs Most adjectives come AFTER what they are describing (different than English) Example: J’ai une auto bleue.
