Examples include Aesop’s Fables.

Myths An ancient story that usually deals with supernatural beings, ancestors or heroes. They usually explain aspects of the natural world.
Examples include the Greek and Roman myths with heroes such as Hercules and Zeus.

Legends A legend is a traditional historical tale usually thought to be true.
Legends often contain a mixture of fact and fiction.
Examples include the tales of King Arthur and the Knights of the Roundtable.
