The verb “ser” :
The verb “ser” The verb “ser” in Spanish means “to be” in English.
For example (the conjugation):
Yo soy (I am) Nosotros somos (We are)
Tu eres (You are) Vosotros sois (You are –pl. fam.)
El/Ella/Ud. es Ellos/Ellas/Uds. son
(He/she/you -s. form. is) (They/You –pl. form)

Descriptive adjectives :
Descriptive adjectives In Spanish, descriptive adjectives come AFTER the noun.
Adjectives must AGREE with gender and number of the noun.
Por ejemplo:
Alicia es alta. Alicia y Eva son altas.
Marco es bajo. Marco y Ana son bajos.
Adjectives of nationality :
Adjectives of nationality Since nationality are descriptive adjectives, they follow the same grammatical rules.
Nationalities are NOT capitalized, however Nations ARE capitalized.
Por ejemplo:
Javier es frances. (Maria es francesa)
Ellos son de Francia.
Mi amigo y yo somos cubanos.
Nosotros somos de Cuba.
