Curriculum Update Deanna Mayers

Science Update : 

Science Update Grades 7-12 all first semesters completed Second semesters for Environmental Science, and Physics will be out later this month, along with Science 6 A and B Science 7 B and 8 B will be out in the next two months Elementary Science is targeted for development in Spring/Summer 2010 One semester PSSA Science for MS and HS are in development will be release later this month.

Mathematic Update : 

Mathematic Update Grades 2-12 all first semesters complete and textbook free with the exception of Math Essentials, Math 5 and 6 Anticipate Math 5 A and Math Essentials A and B to be released in October Math 5 B, 6 A and 6 B are in development and should be delivered in November. New PSSA Math Grades 3,5, 8 and 11 are in development should be released by the end of the month

Language Arts/English Update : 

Language Arts/English Update English 9 A, 11 A , and 12 A and B have been released, along with AP Literature A English 9 B, 11 B and AP Literature B are targeted for November/December releases One Semester electives - Journalism, Communications and Creative Writing have been released Language Arts 6, 7, and 8 are in development and anticipate a November release PSSA Reading 3,5,8, and 11 are in development and anticipate a release of early October

Social Studies Update : 

Social Studies Update Newly developed courses include World History A and B, Civics and Government A and B, US History 2 A and 2 B One Semester electives – Sociology and Micro Economics have been released Anticipate the release of Social Studies 8 A and B, along with 9 A and B by November Psychology, Social Studies 6 A, 6 B, 7A and 7 B are currently in development

Electives Update : 

Electives Update Business Law and Personal Finance have been redeveloped and are released Accounting 1 is in development Computer Applications A (2007) should be released by October, with B coming in November or December Two new Physical education courses have been released both are one semesters course – middle school and high school physical education
