Conclusions : Conclusions What does this mean for us? Interpreting Data : Interpreting Data Be responsible with the data – don’t draw conclusions before asking questions. Look into the data deeper – pull up more detailed data from the STaR Chart website. Use the data to inspire more research and data collection. What the data tells us : What the data tells us BHS is firmly in the developing technology phase. Statewide data for 2007-2008 shows most districts firmly in the same phase for the first two key areas. 95% of all districts fell into the developing technology phase or advanced technology phase for 2007-2008. What else does the data say? : What else does the data say? There was a rapid incline between 06/07 and 07/08 school years. There was a moderate decline between 07/08 and 08/09 school years Teaching and Learning Administration and support What the data doesn’t tell us : What the data doesn’t tell us Why was there an increase? Why was there a decline? What other factors influenced teacher reporting? What do we do now? : What do we do now? Teachers need to integrate technology into lesson plans. Develop online and distance learning opportunities. Seek out professional development opportunities. Share successes and failures in PLC.
