Layers: Layers In the Bakery…: In the Bakery… Public Health Workforce Development in Problem Gambling: Literature Review Introduction to Gambling-related Public Health – A Training Workshop for the Public Health/Problem Gambling Workforce Gambling-Related Public Health: Proposal for a Workforce Development Strategy and Best Practice ModelSlide13: IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGY – SUGGESTION Recommendation is for external funding support for workers to participate in education/training, and for development of programmes - to provide for a kick start Eating the Gateau: Eating the Gateau GPH Training Package be utilised and rolled-out Strategy document be adopted and actioned Further development and work: Continue to develop training and foster networks, partnerships and other areas of collaboration through linkage with the Problem Gambling National Co-ordination Services Utilise the GPH workforce currently being trained to engage with the primary care sector, in particular in the training of PHO HP workers Engage with Community Action Groups as a potential workforce – perhaps on the basis of a Train-the-Trainer model Provide relevant education/training at a range of levels to take into account practitioners both with and without formal qualifications, and from a wide variety of backgrounds Give particular attention to specific and appropriate education/training for the Maori, Pacific and Asian GPH workforces, including the possible development of strategy documents related to each group Give considerations to the role of education and training of GPH workers within the gambling industry, particularly with regard to host responsibility You do not have the permission to view this presentation.
