The New Deal Introduced by Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1932. Claimed that recovery from The Great Depression was possible. Relief, Recovery and Reforms

World War II: 

World War II USA was very hesitant to join WW2. USA fought on the Allies’ side along with France, Soviet Union, USA, Great Britain .

The Pacific Theatre: 

The Pacific Theatre Japan attacks Pearl Harbor (7 December 1941) -> USA declares war on Japan and Germany. Battle of Midway (3-6 June 1942) -> USA pushes back Japan’s forces. Japan suffers heavy casualties.

The European Theatre: 

The European Theatre Allies won the North African Campaign in May 1943. Italian Campaign in September 1943. - Very big casualties for USA. - Germany surrendered in May 1945.

PowerPoint Presentation: 

D-Day (June 6, 1944) - Largest number of men and weapons were used. The Battle of Bulge (December 1944) - USA suffered 75,000 casualites. - Germany suffered 100,000 casualties. - Axis were defeated. Atomic bombs to Nagasaki and Hiroshima (August 1945) V-E Day (May 8, 1945) V-J Day (August 14, 1945)
