But on February 25, 2010, I didn't have a normal day... : But on February 25, 2010, I didn't have a normal day... I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, and my life was changed forever! It is a disease that I will never out grow and can never forget about. : It is a disease that I will never out grow and can never forget about. I didn’t get diabetes because I was naughty or didn’t eat my vegetables. By the time you read this, I will have had over 250 finger sticks, and 200 insulin shots.
