Introduction :

Introduction Many technology integrated instruction barriers. There are plenty of studies, observations and opinions… perhaps help is on the way. Creating effective integrated instruction remains a challenge. Why?

Purpose :

Purpose Explore and provide a means to understand barriers for your next instructional technology project. Identify and mitigate those challenges. Predict success!

How :

How Review and organize. What? Previous studies. To produce what?

The Product :

Limitations, Implications, Future :

Limitations, Implications, Future Limitation i5 is the resultant framework/rubric that has yet to be tested. Implications Simplified identification of barriers enables teachers to bring them to the appropriate level for mitigation. Provide improved success of in class technology projects? Where to go? Field and test i5.

Critique :

Critique Negative /Positive. During this class I have been introduced to many readings about technology integration. This article sums them up clearly (at least for me). The question. Does one shoe fit all? Not at all; Groff and Mouza do a great job identifying and organizing the challenges. Improvement and ownership at all levels are a must if technology is to fulfill its potential . Literature review. At least one studies used by the authors was also read by me. Well written, organized and presented methodically with well constructed graphs.

Conclusion :

Conclusion Will i5 solve the challenges associated with integrating technology with instruction in an effort to yield high test scores, better prepare our youth for higher learning and the work place? Probably not but it’s self. What i5 does is enable teachers to assess a technology project and weigh a majority of the factors that may reduce or impede its success. More over, this will provide feed back to administrators, policy-makers, and the community about areas they need to improve upon if technology investment is desired.
