Overview This field is growing every year, Offering more opportunities at various levels of sports.

What is it?:

What is it? Sports medicine is a wide field of science to care, treatment and preventions of sport related injuries.

Type of People:

Type o f People Athletic trainer- who interacts with athletes on a daily basis. We also have the fully trained people who are medical doctors who might specialize in orthopedic surgery or cardiac rehabilitation.

Educational Requirements:

Educational Requirements You must have a M.D. and a specialized residency, but at the minimum, a career as a sports medical professional requires you a degree from an accredited academic institution, state certification, and state licensure. Also for a more technical specialties you should continue with your education.

Coursework Cardiac Rehabilitative Therapy Orthopedic Radiology Physiotherapeutic Techniques Chiropractic Applications Musculoskeletal Injuries Nutrition Genetics and Sports Related Injuries

Salary:

Salary Trainer- $40,000 From trainer to a doctor you can earn more than $700,000 per year.

Why This Job???:

Why This Job??? I want to do this job because I enjoy sports and don’t want our athletes to get injured bad enough that they can’t play sports anymore. I have wanted to do this job since I was in fourth grade. So I believe this is what my career will be.
