Slide 4:

For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who … defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the alien, giving him food and clothing. ~Deuteronomy 10:17-18

Slide 6:

The Burma military government abuses its people. Ethnic citizens are being persecuted and killed by the Military Government…one of the cruelest regimes in the world.

Burma Facts... :

Burma Facts... Health: World's second worst health system (190 out of 191). Narcotics: Second highest producer of opium. Freedom: Suppressed multiple democracy movements.

Rape is used as a weapon of war. Landmines are widely used, killing more people in Burma in 2002 than any other country in the world. Millions of Burmese have been pressed into forced labor.

Slide 15:

Child Soldiers... Military recruiters are literally buying and selling children to fill the ranks of the Burmese armed forces. With more than 90,000 child soldiers, Burma has more child soldiers than any other country in the world.

Slide 17:

Families are forced to flee their villages in fear of being persecuted, tortured and killed.

Slide 22:

Life in refugee camps is very difficult. There is no electricity or plumbing.

Slide 25:

Slide 27:

Camps are lacking in basic services... Medical Care Nutritional Food Education Sanitation Housing

Slide 30:

Refugees have the opportunity to apply to be “resettled” in a country that accepts refugees. However, This process takes a very long time; usually 10-15 years. There is Hope...

Slide 31:

You can help families rebuild a new life in Phoenix and share the love of Jesus to the least of these.

Refugees are people...and every person has a story. Stories of hopes and dreams. :

Slide 37:

We know that God’s heart aches for the poor, the needy and oppressed. They are His children too. As we reach out to people that are hurting, our problems begin to shrink, and we draw closer to God’s heart in the process.

Slide 38:

Ask God to open your eyes today. Ask Him to reveal His footsteps, so you can follow them. They will lead you to some amazing places...

Slide 40:
