Taxation was the way to go!Sugar Act of 1764: Sugar Act of 1764 Put a tax on Molasses Traded in the Triangular Trade Similar tax previously existed It didn ’ t work because it was too expensive People tried to avoid paying it Smuggled-Transported it in illegally Bribed tax collectorsFear of Raised Taxes: Fear of Raised Taxes Price before taxes = $50 100 people will buy at this price Taxes cost $10 / good In order to make the same money what did the supplier need to do?
