CMA’s Innovative Programs CMA programs serve more than 100 people and include: “Family-like” group homes Fred & Mary Trump Supported Living Residences, allowing qualified individuals to live with support but without 24-hour supervision A home for aging or medically frail people who can no longer live in our group homes Case management services Vocational services And a social enterprise, the Sweet Comfort Bakery & Café, that offers competitive employment to people with developmental disabilities

Spreading the word… Adults with developmental disabilities are among the most underserved members of our community. We rely on our volunteer leadership to help advocate on our behalf. The passion and enduring commitment of friends like Jerry Pinsky has helped raise thousands of dollars for CMA programs.

CMA Special Events:

CMA Special Events CMA fundraising includes several annual events that help defray operating cost: Its largest event is an annual golf tournament, one of the largest on Long Island Chaired by volunteers, including local philanthropist Jerry Pinsky, CMA’s golf tournament attracts 400+ people each year and has raised more than $2 million to date.

2013 – Our greatest need for support :

2013 – Our greatest need for support In March 2013, NYS Governor proposed a $120 million cut in services to people with developmental disabilities – if implemented, this cut is effective APRIL 1st This impacts CMA and all voluntary providers This would be catastrophic and result in program closures This cut will greatly reduce support for the people who need support to live an ordinary life THIS IS WHY THE NEED FOR SUPPORT IN 2013 IS SO CRUCIAL
