Aesthetically Pleasing : Aesthetically Pleasing When something catches your eye and you can appreciate its beauty its called aesthetically pleasing. Concepts Behind Aesthetics : Concepts Behind Aesthetics Symmetry Complexity Repetition Simplicity Ethics Color Based Distortedness Ext. What is Symmetry : What is Symmetry Any shape with an exact reflection of form on opposite sides of a dividing line or plane . Ex. Symmetrical : Symmetrical Because if you were to split this picture directly in half you have still have an exact replicated and balance picture of the other. Examples in Companies : Examples in Companies The Flag is Symmetrical : The Flag is Symmetrical The Jamaican Coat of Arms is Symmetrical, this is symbolic because the coat of arms has written “out of many, one people”. Meaning no matter how many different ethnicities inhabit the island of Jamaica everybody is still the same. Symmetry used in Hawaiian Culture : Symmetry used in Hawaiian Culture What is Repetition? : What is Repetition? A reproduction, copy or replica. Used to catch the attention of Human eye. Ex. Repetition : Repetition . : . Sky & Hay Stacks repeating. Repetition in a Jamaican sugarcane field. Repetition & Symmetry used together : Repetition & Symmetry used together Repetition: Windows Symmetrical Symbol Recreated : Symbol Recreated Design a object using any symbol.
