Introduction :

Introduction Gut microbiota- Gut micro flora consists of microorganisms that live in the digestive tracts of animals, and is the largest reservoir of human flora. Gut refer with intestinal and flora with micro biota and micro flora. Ecological system –determined by –intrinsic density dependent effect ( inter and intra-specific interaction). Components of species form system -complex of liner and non-linear interaction called as temporal dynamics which established in plant and animal ecology/ Mammalian GI tract – densely inhabited of all known ecosystem with microbial community count 101110 12 cell per ml of luminal content in the colon. Four kind of microbiota – B. thetaiotaomicron, B.longum, C.perfringes and E.coli.

Function of its role :

Function of its role Animal GI micro biota- Helps in digestion of unutilized energy substrate, Stimulating cell growth and Repressing the growth of harmful microorganism. Without gut flora- unable to utilized undigested carbohydrate ,gut flora have enzyme that cell lack for breaking down certain polysaccharides. Plays role in physiology, immunity ,nutrition development and homeostasis. Four bacterial species-a) Bacteriodes thetaiotaomicron (b) C.perfringes c) E.coli (d) B.longum Microbe –microbe interaction important in shaping gut communities. Bacteria where grown –anaerobically in chemostat at low turnover rate (-33h) in a medium suitable for growth.

Results :

Results Time series data

Slide 7:

Individual population data for three replicate chemostats. First series (black ) give data from 0 to 80 hours and one additional data point at 92 hours. The second set of series (red) give data from 0 to 6 hours from 17 to 93 hours. Fig a. B.thetaiotamicron (b) B.longum (c) C.perfringes (d) E.coli In fig S2 – deviation between the replicate series during first 10h. Measurement of pH and RedOX potential from first and third chemostat deviate from one another. - RedOX were similar almost 50 hand drop of potential of 100mV.
