Slide 3: The leaves of the neem tree repel troublesome insects. The Indian people have for centuries placed these leaves in cupboards, beds, bins and closets. Slide 4: The leaves of the neem tree purify the surrounding. Many Indians begin their year by eating a few neem leaves. Slide 5: If the dry leaves of neem are kept in grains, they are free from germs. The smoke from the burning leaves of neem drive away mosquitoes. Slide 6: People also clean their teeth with neem twigs . Slide 7: Drinking water boiled in neem roots prevents fever. Slide 8: People apply neem leaf juice to skin disorders and drink neem tea as a tonic. Slide 9: Medicines derived from the neem are also being used to combat diabetes and malaria. Slide 10: NEEM HERBAL PRODUCTS Slide 11: The neem seeds and leaves contain compounds that demonstrate antiseptic, antiviral and antifungal activity . Compounds in the neem bark have also been shown to have antiseptic properties. It also makes for very good fire wood. This is because it’s wood is termite resistant. The neem is an ideal source of timber for carpentry.
