Nitrate levels in the river Lieser are monitored to find links between the rising levels and the fertilization of fields. The students took samples every two weeks. The analysis was made in cooperation with the laboratory of a local firm.

Why the peaks at 3,8,16?: 

Why the peaks at 3,8,16? on these days it rained nitrate came into the water ( washed out of the fields ) t hen Nitrate levels decrease again
