A lever is any kind of rigid bar that sits on a pivot point or fulcrum and rotates about that point. It may be used to move a heavy object with a force that is smaller than the weight of the object. A lever has three parts  fulcrum or pivot point load effort (the force) LEVERs fulcrum or pivot point
