Atrium: 

Atrium The atrium is the formal entrance hall. The atrium was like a central courtyard in the house with an opening in the roof above it providing air and light. The Romans used the opening above to collect rain water.

Cubiculum: 

Cubiculum The cubiculum is a small room or a bedroom. Romans used the cubiculum to sleep and rest and do other creative things.

Culina: 

Culina Culina is the kitchen where Roman women cooked and prepared food for their families.

Hortus: 

Hortus The hortus is the garden. Romans used it to plant and harvest fruits and vegetables.

Taberna: 

Taberna The taberna is a shop that provided Romans places for a variety of agricultural and industrial products to be sold like food and other items.

Triclinium : 

Triclinium The triclinium is a dining room. Romans used it to dine with the family.

Lararium: 

Lararium The lararium is the shrine where Romans worshipped their gods and made prayers.

Latrina: 

Latrina The latrina is the toilet. Romans used the latrina to do their business.
