Slide 1:

What is a NT Church? First we need to define what it is not: A gathering place for Christians to fellowship with God on their terms… It is not when we allow God to move now and then, if it is in our program and we have the time for him to move. It is not just a commandment… YOU MUST FELLOWSHIP or else you are backslidden! It is a requirement for our Salvation! Jesus plus church = our salvation!

Slide 2:

So what is the purpose of the church? There is a purpose for the church; but not the for the reasons that we mentioned already. Our Salvation is based solely on one thing our faith in the blood of Jesus Christ; and that alone! If a law could save God would have sent a law, and not his Son! If we are trusting in Jesus and our works, then we are not saved! He said if you love me keep my commandments! Not that they would add to our salvation!

Slide 3:

We will examine the purpose of the NT church: God desires to walk among his people (an experiential, supernatural manifestation of His presence…) to fellowship on a spiritual level; in the spiritual realm; God is not carnal, but a spirit. We also are spirit beings, created by God this way to be able to fellowship with him on his level, and in his presence. John 4:24 “God is a Spirit (a spiritual Being) and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (reality).” (Amp)

Slide 4:

Do we dare believe that God is able to manifest His presence in his sanctuary? (I am not talking about goose bumps and tingling…) Those who worship God MUST worship in Spirit and Truth; and not in Flesh and our understanding of him Many are waiting to die to fellowship with God; he desires the fellowship now while we are alive… It just isn’t scriptural to wait; you are now just as much spirit as you will be after you die! We will examine the purpose of the NT church:
