Bantu knot results [The morning after!!]

Slide 2:

So here’s me with my bantu knots when I had first put them in… ( Just to remind you, I’ve got short permed hair, and I’m transitioning to natural.)

Slide 3:

To do this I washed my hair in the shower, and then left it wet. I twisted my hair and held it down with rubber bands [in place of bobby pins, because I didn’t have any @ the time!]

Slide 4:

This is the back view…But yes, I advise you to not use rubber bands. They REALLY hurt my head, and you will NOT be able to sleep on them because of the pain.

Slide 5:

I really disliked the way they looked because I’ve never worn the style before. It reminded me of that horror film Hellraiser. I looked like a waaay less creepy PINHEAD! So I called myself chocolate pinhead for the time I had them in LOL! Yuck…times a million! lol (Picture from www.pitofhorror.com)

Slide 6:

That was fun lol not. But At the end of it all I had decided to take out my bantu knots early because (A) They were KILLING me, and (B) I was so excited to see how they would turn out! Kind of excited like these guys who just can’t wait to go to work >>>>>> sike lol my excitement shined brighter!

Slide 7:

So I took them out aaaaand…. I LOVED it :oD

Slide 8:

I felt like this was TOTALLY ME, and I couldn’t get enough of my curls!! :o)

Slide 9:

It was only a shame that I took them bantus out early and slept on my hair that night :sighs: :o/ silly excitement…and horrific pain -_-

Slide 10:

What!? You’d take those bad boys out too if you were in my position! Lol!

Slide 11:

So that morning I decided to do them over. So I showered and wet my hair and put the bantu knots back in my hair…WITHOUT rubber bands, and WITH bobby pins :oD I learned my lesson lol The end results from my second time! (Bottom = back)

Slide 12:

In my opinion, my first time putting the knots in looked better. Did the rubber bands, besides giving me a headache, make a difference with this style? Or did I mess up the second time around…hmm… I’m not really sure. I guess I’ll have to do a method of trial an error until I get my ideal results!

Slide 13:

Alas! I’m really for anything as I take this journey to becoming natural. I’m very excited and hope I have everyone’s support :o) <3 Thanks for watching! And I’d LOVE for suggestions and comments about what else I could try with my transitioning (short) hair! God bless :o) ©PrincessGG12
