GREETING CARDS

CHRISTMAS TREE CARD made by pupils from preprimary class B :

CHRISTMAS TREE CARD made by pupils from preprimary class B Materials needed: • white cardboard (from a sheet can be made two cards) • xerox Paper or green glazed paper • Colored paper for ornaments • Glue • scissors • Drill with various models (optional)

Working method: :

Working method: With a template like the one below, a few sheets of green paper are printed The triangles are cut out On each triangle there are drawn broken lines or curves, according to your imagination, then cut them. It can be cut with scissors directly. The parts are glued on the white cardboard, moving them slightly. Thus the tree comes alive. It is decorated with stars, confetti of different colors, other templates. For triangles a sheet of white paper, A4 is divided in three equal sectors lengthwise. Then isosceles triangles with sides approx. 9.5; 9,5 and 7 cm. are built.

Working method::

Working method: The crepe paper is cut into strips of 2 cm It is cut on both sides as the model and turned to get a tinsel like tree branches; There are manufactured circles of different colors (on the finger); The circles are glued on the support in the form of a tree; The tinsel, imitating the branches is put in each circle; There is no need to stick the twigs because they remain fixed in the circles.

Working method::

Working method: A4 white paper is cut into 4 rectangles thus - two sides 4.5 cm - for hands, one side of 9 cm for the head and the last of side 11.7 cm (the remaining paper) for body. Each rectangle is folded like a fan and it is sticked or stapled to form a disc. The disks are install on a colored cardboard A4 then it is folded into two forming the card. For the hap it is cut a trapeze ,for the socks two rectangles of the same color and a rectangle for the scarf

SIMPLE CARDS USING THE METHOD OF APPLICATION – pupils from III A and V A made it Materials needed: Carton of different colors - preferably dark for better contrast – two cards can be made from a sheet of A4 Black marker or silver / colored spray Printed wrapping paper, beads, sequins, fabric, ribbon glue

Working method::

Working method: Divide a sheet of A4 card in two pieces, each piece is folded like a greeting card From the wrapping paper different models are cut- Santa Claus, bells, bows, reindeer are sticked on cardboard With the marker it is outlined the contrast It can be sticked beads, sequins, etc.

Pupils with special needs want to show how they made cards use iris folding method Materials needed: Paper of different colors, strips (strips) of paper templates. Paper strips can be obtained from colored envelopes, gift wrap, origami and other scraps of colored paper. A4 colored cardboard – 2 cards can be done from a sheet of A4 Various templates (models) - boots, angel, Santa Claus, snowman, tree, bell

Working method::

Working method: From colored paper there are cut squares of 2-3 cm which are folded diagonally A4 cardboard is divided into 2 pieces, each piece is folded like a greeting card In the middle of the card it is drawn a pattern (boots, angel, Santa Claus, snowman, tree, bell) and it is cut. The gap thus formed is filled with triangles of paper which are sticked together in layers in a radial spiral (in the form of an iris),the middle is left blank .On the back of the postcard , a piece of colored paper is stuck on which eyes and a beard for Santa, eyes and nose for the snowman, etc. are drawn with watercolors / markers depending on the model chosen: The name Iris Folding is given due to the resemblance to the iris of a camera.

GLOBE - CARD-2D or 3D – made by pupils from classes II A and I A:

GLOBE - CARD-2D or 3D – made by pupils from classes II A and I A Materials needed: White and colored cardboard, markers, watercolors, paper, glue, cotton, cotton pads, pieces of fabric, crushed broken globes, silver spray .

Working method::

Working method: Pattern is printed on cardboard , it is colored and cut. Then there are cut colored cardboard discs of different colors on which Christmas trees , stars , Santa Claus , snowman are glued. For decoration you can use paper balls , pieces of fabric cut into different shape ,broken pieces of globes and you can use silver spray , etc. The ends of rectangular are covered with adhesive golden,silver or black paper which are punched – it is bind with a colorful lace for 2D For 3D Globe –it is stuck inside a black / dark blue disc with adhesive paper on which different pieces of paper can be glued, you can draw snowflakes with markers , etc. . It is cut a rectangular strip ftom which is formed a cube on which colored patterns ( Christmas trees , stars , Santa Claus , snowman) are glued inside. – it is bind with a colorful lace only on a disc in order to loosen the globe.

Pupils from I A, I B, V A and VI A classes also created some nice SNOWMEN , BELLS, SNOWFLAKES, GLOBES, CHRISTMAS TREES FROM TEXTILE WASTE Materials needed: Textiles and white colored models of various types, thicknesses, qualities Templates for shaping parts; Black medium thickness, fresh marker - it is needed a strong color for decoration (for the shape it is also good a thin one because it traces discreet on the material; A very good scissors for the fabric ; Glue applicator to use it with precision, leaving no white marks on the application.

Working Steps: Teacher Preparation: Snowman’s pattern is printed twice and is glued sticks on a cardboard which is cut with both models; The first pattern is as a whole, the second is used to get the hat and the scarf templates for the little man; II. Working step: On different materials there are outlined with the marker, the snowman and hat and scarf,then they are cut. If we want to exhibit it ,we have to cut for each man a hat and a scarf; if you want to hang it in the tree - two hats and two scarves; The hat and the scarf are glued We draw with the marker draw his eyes and the buttons (or we may cut them from black fabric or buy buttons); We cut and apply the mouth; We may put a ribbon or a string for hanging it.

GLOBES FROM WOOL – made by pupils from II A class Materials needed: Cardboard, yarns of different colors, scissors, needle

Working method::

Working method: There are cut circle cartons of various sizes (like a pretzel) The thread wool is put in the needle and the cardboard ring is completely dressed in wool. Then we cut the wool with the scissors to have a wavy globe.

THORN DECORATION - FOR THE CHRISTMAS TREE – made by pupils from class VI B Materials needed: Colored paper or foil, glue, pencil well sharpened, needle and thread, compass, scissors .

Working method::

Working method: The paper is cut in 8 discs with a diameter of 16mm. The circle is divide into eight equal sectors (sector angle at the center is 45 0 ) On each radius it is cut 2/3 from the edge to the center. Each strip is rolled with the pencil and the center of the disc is glued. You must repeat it for all 8 discs. On each disc is thus obtained by 8 thorns The 8 discs and the thorns are caught from each other with a string or lace.

Working method::

Working method: There is a bunch up to 20 straws that are caught in the middle with another straw well knotted. Each straw from the bunch is bent and caught in the middle. Finally it is formed a star or a thorn which can be hung in the Christmas tree,curtain, ceiling, etc..

After folding all the sheets the Christmas tree is decorated with multicolored strings , tinsel from paper, globes from paper etc..

TREE DECORATIONS FROM COTTON PADS – share by pupils from class II B Materials needed: cotton pads, beads, glue, scissors, white thread, needle, blue or red ribbon Working technique: It is prepared a cotton pad and some beads. The beads are glued on the cotton pad. We take the blue ribbon and we glue it on the disk. We make the hanger from white cotton, which we catch it to the cotton pad.. It's ready for the Christmas tree ornament

SANTA DECORATION FROM CLEANSING PADS – made by pupils from III A and III B classes Materials needed: cotton pads, beads, glue, scissors, felt pens of different colors, fabric. Working method: We prepare a cotton pad. We cut from it a bit for the dwarf’s beard. We take two beads of the same color, and glue them. They will be the dwarf’s eyes. We choose a larger bead red for the nose and glue it on the cotton pad .We cut a rectangle from fabric for the dwarf’s coat and glue it to the disk.

SANTA CLAUS OR SNOWMAN DECORATION FROM TOILET PAPER TUBES – made by pupils with special needs Materials needed: Tubes from toilet paper rolls, colored paper of different colors, wool, ribbons, black, red, green or blue marker, paper of various colors, black , blue or green pearls

Working technique: :

Working technique: The adhesive paper is glued on the tube from the toilet paper roll, we draw the eyes with marker or the beads are glued, the nose is drawn with the marker or the crepe/folded paper cones which are stuck on the tube, the beard is from a piece of cotton wool. The hat is cut from colored paper cones. The tube is decorated with colored strips for Santa’s belt .
