Amritmahal : 

Amritmahal Mainly found in Karnataka. Distuinguishing characters : Compact form with short straight back , well arched ribs, Powerful sloping quarters, Narrow face & prominent forehead with a furrow in the middle

Amritmahal : 

Amritmahal Long sweeping horns typical of Karnataka type cattle Well developed dewlap & hump Grey coloured body Dark head, neck, hump& quarters Best suitable for ploughing and transport

Hallikar : 

Hallikar Mainly found in Tumkur, Hassan and Mysore districts of Karnataka Distuinguishing characters : Medium size Compact, muscular in appearance Head- long with bulging forehead, furrowed in the middle

Hallikar : 

Hallikar Face long with small ears Hump- moderately developed Coat colour grey to dark greywith deep shadings on fore & hind quarters Bullocks- excellent draught type suitable both for road & field work

Khillar : 

Khillar Origin- Solapur & Satara districts of Maharashtra, Satpura range Distuinguishing characters : Compact body with clean cut features Massive head, small eyes & ears, Horns – long & pointed, emerging close to each other

Khillar : 

Khillar Neck- short & firmly set Shoulders tightly musceled Barrel- long& compact with no loose skin Legs- clean cut, straight Hoofs- black & digits closely set Breed is highly valued as fast paced, powerful draurht animals in Maharashtra

Kangayam : 

Kangayam Mainly found in Coimbatore, Erode, Namakkal, Karur and Dindigul districts of Tamil Nadu. Distuinguishing characters : Strong horns with sharp tips Body moderately long, straight back, short & strng neck

Kangayam : 

Kangayam Moderate sized hump,wide muzzle, strong limbs, small dewlap, fine skin, fine tail Colour- bull grey with dark grey to black markings Cow- whiter with black markings just in front of the fetlock on all four legs Best suited for ploughing and transport. Withstands hardy conditions.

Malvi : 

Malvi Malwa tract in MP Rajasthan Distuinguishing characters : Deep short compact body Ears alert short in size Short but thick horns tapering to a blunt point
