The Surface Experience :The Surface Experience 3/18/2009 5 Microsoft Surface A Surface Paint demonstration at the CES 2008 conference Direct Interaction: Users can “grab” items
with their hands and move data to different
locations on the hard disk or to removable
devices. Easy touch navigation – without the
use of a mouse and keyboard. Object Recognition: Users can place
physical objects such as drinks, cell phones,
food, laptops, mp3 players on the table to
activate digital responses. Multi-Touch Friendly: Recognizes several
points of contact simultaneously as opposed
to average single point of contact touch screens .
Gives users the ability to be completing
unrelated tasks simultaneously. Multi-User Friendly: It’s design and multi-touch
capabilities make it a great gathering spot to
share data, exchange ideas, and inspire group
collaboration.
