Search images and videos with authorSTREAM Desktop

Slide 3: 

The dropdown menu of ‘Search and Insert’ option has ‘Images on Bing’ by default. You can search for images from ‘Flickr’ search engine and also the videos from either ‘YouTube’ or ‘Vimeo’.

Slide 4: 

The search results of the image from the selected search engine are displayed here. ‘Search and Insert’ option box opens displaying ‘Bing’ and ‘Flickr’ search engine options in the dropdown list.

‘Search and Insert’ option box opens for videos and you can select ‘YouTube’ or ‘Vimeo’ from the dropdown list. The search results from the selected video are displayed here.

Insert and preview images and videos

Slide 7: 

You can select one or more images or videos from the ‘Search and Insert’ option box and click ‘Insert In Slide’ option to place the image or video into the slide. You can also preview one or more images and videos by clicking on ‘Preview’ option.

Slide 8: 

A ‘Preview’ window appears showing the selected image or a video This is the button from where you can preview more than one image. After previewing, click on ‘Insert’ if you want to place the displayed image into the slide or ‘Insert All’ button to place multiple images.

Copyright attribution appears in the corner. The output of the image or video inserted appears into the slide

‘Advance Search’ option of authorSTREAM Desktop

Slide 11: 

On clicking ‘Advance Search’ option, you can access ‘Advanced Search Window’.

‘Bing’ and ‘Flickr’ tabs provide you with their advanced features. ‘Advanced Search Window’ appears showing various features of images from ‘Bing’ and ‘Flickr’ tabs

‘Vimeo’ and ‘YouTube’ tabs provide you with their advanced features for videos.

Slide 14: 

Add and separate the most desirable images and videos in the ‘Collection’ tab which you want to use currently for your PowerPoint Select images and videos and click on ‘Add to Collection’ option to collect them into the ‘Collection’ tab. Once they are added, the option changes to ‘Added to Collection’.

Slide 15: 

‘Collection’ tab collects your currently selected images and videos which you may choose to be inserted into the slide. Place the images and videos to the slides by selecting them and then clicking on ‘Insert in Slide’ option.

Slide 16: 

Once you insert an image or a video the message appears. The ‘Inserted’ message appears here. Click on ‘Insert in Slide’ button to place a selected image or video to the slide.

Slide 17: 

The output of the image or video appears into the slide

Slide 18: 

Click on ‘Insert any URL/Embed’ button to insert your own images and videos from the web browser. Place images and videos from the browser to the slides with ‘Insert any URL/Embed’ option

Slide 19: 

Click on ‘Insert’ button to place the image directly to the slide and the output will appear on screen.

Slide 21: 

‘Upload to authorSTREAM’ button allows you to upload your PowerPoint directly to the authorSTREAM account and you can also upload your presentation directly from the website.

Slide 22: 

A pop-up window appears where you can update the title, tags, select category, license, Add to Channel and other such options. The output of a PowerPoint appears on your authorSTREAM account Once the file is uploaded, the window changes displaying ‘View’ and ‘Show Details’ options taking you to your authorstream account where the PowerPoint has been uploaded.

How ‘Post to Twitter’ works?

Click on ‘Post to Twitter’ button and a pop-up window opens for authorizing authorSTREAM to post the presentation on Twitter account automatically. : 

Click on ‘Post to Twitter’ button and a pop-up window opens for authorizing authorSTREAM to post the presentation on Twitter account automatically. You just need to authorize authorSTREAM only for the first time by clicking on ‘OK, take me to the Twitter page’. Thereafter, any presentation that you upload to authorSTREAM account will be automatically posted to Twitter.

Slide 25: 

Once authorized, upload the PowerPoint and from ‘Upload to authorSTREAM’ button. A pop-up window appears where you can select ‘Automatically Post to Twitter’ checkbox. Once posted, the link of the presentation will display on your Twitter account .
