ANALOG COMPUTER:
ANALOG COMPUTER An analog computer works on the principle of analogous data .Any type of signal or waves ,which is continuously varying in nature , is known as analog signal . Its various features such as speed can be measured .The computer which can process these types of analog signal , is known as Analog Computer .
DIGITAL COMPUTER:
DIGITAL COMPUTER A digital computer counts and answers the question by following the principle of ‘How many’ . It represent data as number and operates them mathematically .It works on the principle of binary system. A digital computer works on discrete data .It states only two condition i.e. ‘True’ or ‘ False’.
TYPES OF DIGITAL COMPUTER:
TYPES OF DIGITAL COMPUTER The digital computers can broadly be classified into four major groups. They are: MICRO COMPUTERS MINI COMPUTERS MAIN FRAME COMPUTERS SUPER COMPUTERS
MICRO COMPUTERS:
MICRO COMPUTERS They were first developed by IBM . They were first named as PCs . They are compact in size are widely used in schools ,offices , business etc. e.g. IBM PCs ,HCL PCs.
MINI COMPUTERS:
MINI COMPUTERS They are smaller than main frame computers but bigger than micro computers . They have high speed Cache memory in addition to main memory .They are used in schools , offices .
