document before it can be used in the UAE. One such important certificate attestation
process in India is MEA Attestation. MEA attestation is done by the Ministry of External
Affairs. It is done right after the state attestation. MEA attestation is a mandatory
process for getting the UAE embassy attestation from India.
The initial certificate attestation process for each document type varies from state to
state. The MEA Attestation process in India for immigrating to UAE is as follows:
For Educational Document
HRD attestation: You need to attest the educational documents from the respective
state HRDs. HRD attestation is only for attesting the government recognized
educational documents.
MEA Attestation: After that the document is attested from the Ministry of External
Affairs MEA.
For Personal Document

attest the document from a notary first. After that it is attested from the respective state
Home department.
MEA attestation: The document is then attested from the Ministry of External Affairs.
Following the MEA attestation the documents are attested from the UAE embassy in
