More than 6,400 km long, located across the country of China is the Great Wall of China. It took three dynasties to build the Great Wall of China. The three dynasties are called Qin, Han, and Ming. They build the wall for one purpose defend themselves from the people of the north. The history of it will tell some of the long history of the Great Wall of China. The Great Wall of China

The Great Wall of China is greatest military defense the Qin, Han, and the Ming have to defend themselves from the people of the north. The people of the north is nomadic people. Nomadic people are group of barbarians, bandit, and Mongolian warrior. The nomadic people are skilled in hand to hand combat, riding horse, fighting, and vicious battle skill. Nomadic people attack the China for many reason one of the reason is riches and land.

The Nomadic people continuously raiding the Chinese northern border. Every new ruler, came endless debates in the court to how to deal with those nomadic people. In the court, there are four options offensive campaigns, defensive garrisons, make diplomatic, and build a wall. All the options were favored at various times. The experience with nomadic help out to decide on what choice to pick.

Qin worker filled the wooden frames with earth, which then tamped tightly. Han repair and added section across Gobi desert during 221-206 B.C. Ming were the greatest wall builder to made up most of The Great Wall of China in 1368-1644 A.D. and also Ming wall was brickwork. The soldier, common people, and including the criminals to build The Great Wall of China. Those are the worker the three dynasties use to build The Great Wall of China. It take about million of worker to complete The Great Wall of China.
