At Louisiana the Gulf of Mexico has an abundance of shrimp and oysters. The Gulf of Mexico has Pompano, Redfish, Flounder, and Spanish Mackerel. Most important fish in freshwater are Catfish, Bream, Perch, and Bass. Why Louisiana is one of the leading state in fishing industry? Is that Louisiana is one the leading state on shrimp and oysters. Louisiana seafood is famous for crawfish, shrimp, and oysters. The crawfish is nicknamed in Louisiana, but the real name is crayfish.
