Paragraph :
Paragraph A paragraph has three main parts:
The topic sentence
The body
A concluding sentence
Topic Sentence :
Topic Sentence The topic sentence tells the main idea of the whole paragraph. This sentence is usually the first sentence of the paragraph.
Body :
Body The body of a paragraph supports the topic sentence.
Remember that every sentence in the body must be connected in some way to the topic sentence.
Concluding sentence :
Concluding sentence The concluding sentence is the end of the paragraph.
It is a short summary of the information.
Some paragraphs, especially short paragraphs, do not have a concluding sentence.
