About the Competition You have to do a sustainability audit of the Vasavi College campus tomorrow Analyse the environmental impact of the day to day activities of the college Come up with innovative and practical ideas which will replace the existing process or technology so as to make the campus more eco friendly SUSTAINABILITY
Guidelines to Assess the Environmental Impact :
Guidelines to Assess the Environmental Impact Transportation Electricity utilization (classes, offices, labs, classrooms, hostels, etc) Equipments utilized Energy / fuel used for other purposes (LPG for preparing food in hostels, canteens, etc, generators, etc.) Waste management ( what are the wastes generated and how they are reused, recycled or disposed off) Water requirement: sources of water, if possible estimate the amount of water required in the campus You can also include other parameters for assessment if you want

Framework for Submission There will be three sections for presenting each of the parameter: A brief explanation if the parameter and how did you assess it, what was the method used and why Pictures of the existing facility in the campus Pictures or illustrations of according to you, what the facility look like to be more sustainable(can be downloaded from the internet or you can use your photoshop skills)

Rules Only one entry per team No person can be a part of more than one team Teams have to report at 9 am on the 4 th March at the college Solutions / ideas should be given in the form of a PowerPoint presentation Submissions should be mailed to environmentalaudit@yahoo.com latest by 11:59 pm of 4 th March, 2011, subject: environmental audit: vasavi college On the second slide, write the team number, team name(if you want) and the names of all the team members
