Premium member Presentation Transcript PowerPoint Presentation: How to Play Piano or Keyboard for Fun Without The Need to Read Music or Musical Score Have you always dreamed of being able to play the piano or keyboard but find that you are scared by the amount of theory that is involved with reading music ? Do you find the task too daunting maybe, so you decide to put it at the back of your mind for another year. There are lots of people who excel learning piano or keyboard the traditional way by reading musical score and spend the rest of their lives playing by this method, however there are lots of people out there that just love music and want to just be able to play . There are many new methods continually being developed to enable people to learn interactively, and to almost cut the middle man out (a piano teacher) but still get the same results. One of these methods is to learn piano by ear, which is something some musicians can do naturally but others have to work at it . It is possible for anybody to learn piano providing they have the dedication and determination to do so. From research and with modern teachers using their knowledge, there are now fantastic courses online which provide you with step by step videos, so you can physically see and hear what you need to learn . It is a different approach to playing and a way that many people are using and excelling into budding musicians. The concept behind this is that you memorize your songs using all your senses, by learning the song initially visually and then by doing so it becomes memorized in your head, so you have no need to rely on reading any music. In the long term playing piano or keyboard in this way will make you a more expressive and rounded musician, and will give you the skills to be able to pursue piano and music as a profession if you wish to do so . It not only teaches you how to play the notes in the song, but you will be able to hear exactly how to play the song, and what dynamics are needed to be able to turn it from just playing a song into a beautiful performance. So if you are still undecided about playing piano or keyboard hopefully this information will change your mind. Below are five tips on how to get started on your musical journey : 1) Make sure you have invested in a keyboard or piano, even if you start off with a small keyboard, it's something practical learn upon. 2) Practice in short bursts on a daily basis, so 15-20 minutes per day 3 times a day. It's better to do short bursts rather than practicing continuously for an hour . 3) Set yourself realistic goals, don't be too disheartened if you are struggling to put your first song hands together within a couple of hours, everybody learns at different paces and if you have the determination you will do well and 'get it' in your own time . 4) Once you have learned your first song, be brave and play it in front of a small audience. This will really boost your confidence and get you used to performing from an early stage . 5) Just have fun, and if you are not enjoying one piece of music you are learning then change it to something you will be happier learning . If you are a beginner to piano or keyboard then get yourself off to a great start by learning 12 popular songs in just 12 days. In fact you will play your very first complete song on piano or keyboard within one hour even if you have never played a note before and cannot read music. It can take many years of practice to reach the standard to be able play your own one hour song repertoire on piano or keyboard. But what if there was a simple method that could show any beginner how to do it in just 12 days? Find out how it’s done... http://www.asapiano.com/ You do not have the permission to view this presentation. In order to view it, please contact the author of the presentation.
