ACU’s should be washed in detergents that contain no optical brighteners.
Also Fabric Softeners should not be used as they can ruin the durability of the uniform. What Should ACU’s Be Washed In?
What Kind of Detergent Can I Use? :
You can use any detergent that does not contain an optical brightener.
There aren’t many to choose from.
The great people at CHEER gave me the chance to try their powder detergent which does not contain optical brighteners.
I also found out from the CHEER representative that their liquid detergent DOES contain optical brighteners even though most sites discussing washing ACU’s state they don’t. What Kind of Detergent Can I Use?
