Based in Louisville, KY, KFC Corporation is the world’s most popular chicken franchise specializing in Original Recipe®, Kentucky Grilled Chicken™ and The Colonel’s Crispy Strips with home-style sides, Honey BBQ Wings and freshly made chicken sandwiches. KFC has been serving customers complete, freshly prepared, family meals since Colonel Harland Sanders founded the concept in 1952.

Colonel Harland Sanders:

Colonel Harland Sanders Harland David Sanders born on September 9, 1890  was an American businessman and restaurateur who founded the Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) restaurant chain. In 1930 Sanders opened a service station in Corbin , Kentucky where he cooked chicken dishes and other meals such as country ham and steaks for customers . Since he did not have a restaurant, he served customers in his adjacent living quarters. His local popularity grew and Sanders moved to a motel with a 142 seat restaurant, later designated the Harland Sanders Café and Museum. Over the next nine years he developed his "Secret Recipe" for frying chicken in a pressure fryer that cooked the chicken much faster than pan frying

The franchise approach became successful and in 1964 Sanders sold the Kentucky Fried Chicken corporation for $2 million to a partnership of Kentucky businessmen headed by John Y. Brown, Jr. The deal did not include the Canadian operations. In 1965 Sanders moved to Mississauga, Ontario to oversee his Canadian franchises and continued to collect franchise and appearance fees both in Canada and in the U.S.

KFC ORIGINAL RECIPE:

KFC ORIGINAL RECIPE The secret recipe for KFC fried chicken has never been revealed, but this is a good copy. It actually does contain 11 herbs and spices. The two main secrets behind the delicious flavor is the monosodium glutamate ( MSG) ingredient and the use of a pressure fryer.

THE SECRET OF KFC SUCCESS:

THE SECRET OF KFC SUCCESS Saved by thce Pressure Cooker Time means money Owning a big percentage in a small town VS Owning a small percentage in a large country It is the franchise system, not the spice recipe

PowerPoint Presentation:

Saved by the Pressure Cooker This significantly shortened the time for cooking and as an added advantage, the nutrients (hence the taste) are retained making the food more delicious. Since the boiling point is much higher, this would also kill more germs and make the food last longer. It should be noted that The Colonel spotted the pressure cooking technique just weeks after it was introduced. This means he was always looking for ways to improve the taste and the time it takes to cook the famous K entucky Fried Chicken

PowerPoint Presentation:

Time means money Every minutes saved means less time waiting and more satisfaction to the customers. This would also encourage a first time buyer to become repeat customers.

PowerPoint Presentation:

Building a franchise network is like building a pipe for money to flow to you. In the beginning, the cost is huge because you have to set the infrastructure, digging the earth, linking pipes, bypassing obstacles etc. In the beginning the volume of water flow (money) in your pipe is also dismal. After a few years of hard work, the effort will start to bear fruits. A penny here, a penny there, ten pennies from this town, a hundred pennies from that city, a thousand pennies from this district, ten thousand pennies from that state and it happen EVERY DAY! Before long it started to make a huge impact on your income. Owning a big percentage in a small town VS Owning a small percentage in a large country
